We liked the apartment and its marvelous location. One of the restaurants, atlantic fish company, was an easy walk to the venue. : D

we had a very large room, so it was very comfortable.
no elevator, so we had to carry our large suitcases two levels high.

In a great location, security is good. Liked the walks down Commonwealth & on to Quincy market. A beautiful area
It was a bit shabby, thin towels, poor bath lighting could be cleaner in bath especially.

Location, Size of Room
Bathroom and its fittings are very old and need to be replaced The guesthouse could try out a limited continental breakfast as I was in a hurry for meetings and wanted a quick bite.

It was very close to the conference centre. Confortable and a beautiful use of the original building. I liked that the architecture was mostly the original structure. I could wash my clothes, it was close to lots of shopping options and I could walk to Charles River. It was close to everything I wanted to do in Boston (like the Fenway!) or transport that would take me where I wanted to go. The free wi-fi was great too as it allowed my family to keep in contact with me. It was great!

Nice big room in a large old brownstone with kitchen facilities and a great shower. Staff happy to look after baggage after check-out.

The Guest House is comfortable and includes a coffee maker, microwave, kitchen sink/cooker, and mini fridge in the room. My main complaint is the lack of available service. Someone works the office from 9-5ish during the weekdays and even less on the weekends. This can be problematic for paying your bill, getting recommendations, or merely assistance with your room, etc. If you don't mind having little to no service, then I would recommend this place as it is less expensive than many other hotels and is in an excellent location. You will receive instructions on how to enter the hotel when someone isn't there so be sure and check your email and respond to the request to confirm your booking.

The location was perfect.
The facility is old and outdated. Bathroom was tiny as were the shower and sink.

Architecture of the building, location, and friendly staff. Kitchenette also nice to have. Good value.
rooms could be a little cleaner. Wifi connection is untrusted, and forces constant relogging.

Only a few minutes walk from the Hynes convention center, great price for the location.
There was no bathtub in my room, only a shower.

Beautiful and convenient location microwave as well as kettle and coffee machine "power" shower wifi access (not mentioned on the internet)
Room was "tired" and quite small. Toilet cistern inlet was sticking open until adjusted (not very eco-friendly !) Shower door did not fit properly and cubicle leaked (slightly). Insufficient cutlery (just one teaspoon and one table spoon)

The hotel is cental, close to Boston Common (15 mins walk), Newbury Street (1 min. walk) and the T (5 mins walk). The hotel is located in a period house in a period street, both of which are proably protected . by preservation orders or planning law.
The period status probably prohibits any major structural upgrades e.g. lift/elevator (none) restaurant/cafe (none). No breakfast room. If like me you like some food in the a.m. before seeing the outside world, the "galley kitchens" provided and prior purchase by you of milk/breakfast cereal is a compromise! The hotel is comparable to a central B&B (a much larger room but no breakfast served!) in a Georgian House in a Georgian Street protected by An Taisce in Ireland or the National Trust in the UK.
